Ant Man’s Past, Present and Future explored in new Marvel Masterpiece
As Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright exited from the Ant-Man movie last year in May, Marvel studios scrambled to keep the supposed Avengers franchise from falling apart as they rallied their resources to fix the script that Joe Cornish and Wright had written. Their solution? A complete script re-write which also supposedly fixed two major problems, namely the main ethics of the superhero flick along with the fact that the main franchise characters were not receiving the attention they deserved as per their standing in the Marvel universe and its cinematic counterpart.
Those who were anticipating Wright’s true to the comic book version may be disappointed but they may rejoice when they hear what the new storyline has in store for them. According to newly leaked details, it seems that the supposed morality of the movie might get a boost and the characters in Ant Man’s universe will be treated the same. Both will ultimately make the new superhero movie one of the most anticipated and important flicks come July 16th, 2015.
The Past:
According to the days past of the comic book Avengers, Ant-Man was counted as one of the first ever members of the mighty Avenger team. Of course, most viewers do not know that judging by introduction of the Marvel heroes way back in 2012. Marvel is set to correct this mistake though as Hank Pym aka Ant-Man will be introduced as one of the initial members of the team. Additionally, he will also be meeting with Tony Stark’s daddy, Howard Stark. According to recent news, he will also be meeting with Peggy Carter.
The Present
Rumor has it that the movie will be based on the teensy, yet mighty superhero’s present state of affairs. The main attraction will be the evil father, namely, Scott Lang. As far as the new clips shows, it seems that he will be stealing Ant-Man’s suit. However, the movie may also be borrowing from the ‘Irredeemable Ant-Man’ version of the superhero which will effectively connect the stolen suit with Captain America: The Winter Soldier. How? The suit is actually filched during the Helicarrier crash in The Winter Soldier!
The Future
The outlook of the cinematic version of the Ant-Man franchise lies in the Avengers movie, namely the Age of Ultron. The storyline will introduce and remove new characters as the movie progresses. Perhaps Ant-Man’s appearance in their universe is not far off either. This is actually one of the prime times to release this movie since we might see what made the Avengers come about in possible future installments.
